Central Saint Martins held its BA 2011 Fashion Show this evening at East London’s York Hall, marking the final set of BA graduates to complete their studies at the iconic Charing Cross Road campus. The show, presented by The Daily Telegraph’s Hilary Alexander, saw 45 designers take to the catwalk to present their final collections with a strong emphasis on current affairs, peace & war, and nature.
‘Collection of The Year 2011′ was awarded to print designer Flaminia Saccucci who presented an outstanding collection of delicately printed floral rubber latex garments (above).
Awards were handed out by Alexander McQueen’s Sarah Burton along with Benjamin Kirchhoff and Edward Meadham of Meadham & Kirchhoff.
A judging panel of Alexandre Roux (John Galliano), Carola Long (Financial Times), Craig Lawrence (Designer), Luke Hersheson (L’Oreal Professionel), Lucas Ossendrijver (Lanvin Homme), Lutz (Designer) and Willie Walters (CSM) selected the winning collections that also included:
