Jennifer Selden is an MA Fashion graduate from the Royal College of Art. Her final collection won the ‘Todd and Duncan Award for Excellence’ at the RCA Gala Show 2009. The stark, clean lines of architectural photography and sketches inspire Jennifer’s sharp and unusual cutting techniques with industrial materials influencing bold jewellery. Rich tones in combinations of lambskin, double wool jersey and boucle wool create vibrant verticals of colour in each silhouette. The collection is designed for the woman that is determined, direct and detached; unwilling to conform yet essentially innocent. Whilst studying Jenifer gained experience working in the Design team of Vivienne Westwood Couture, Elizabeth Emanuel, Nigel Preston and Laure Malherbe. Merit highlights include being selected to create a garment from a collection of vintage classics for a fashion show in aid of the charity Dominique Lapierre for the children of Calcutta. Judged by M. Hubert de Givenchy at the 2007 Fashion Show, Palazzo Corsini, Firenze. And winning 1st prize at the 2005 Fashion Show Competition ‘Atout Fil’, France. Jennifer is now seeking a job in the luxury sector as well as launching her own small capsule collection. Email: University: |
