Andy began taking photographers at a very young age, having been given a camera by his father, a professional photographer. After leaving school Andy studied art and fashion at college whilst conducting photo shoots in his free time. Planning each shoot meticulously Andy sketches the model poses and locations of each shoot in the same way a film director plans a storyboard. Inspiration from film and TV plays a big part in Andy’s imagery with location being preferred to studio due to the nature of the atmosphere and depth of field. Working predominantly with models in the UK and USA Andy works with the top model agencies but also enjoys scouting on websites such as Model Mayhem to source new raw talent. Andy is currently planning a photographic exhibition whilst incorporating the use of moving image into his portfolio of work. |
